The PPV Vent DOT 406 is a pressure/vacuum normal vent (breather vent) designed to normalize internal cargo tank vacuum and pressure to help keep tank pressure within safe design limits. It features a compact, interior-mount design with dual-purpose pressure and vacuum relief and integrated roll-over protection.

The vent incorporates a weighted roll-over block that increases set pressure in a roll-over situation while maintaining its primary function as a pressure/vacuum relief device.
Normal vents provide limited vapor venting during loading/unloading; when loading/unloading with the manhole closed, positive vapor valves are recommended.
