6"x6" Straight Cable Emergency Valve
The Betts 6-inch emergency valve meets HM183 requirements for an internal self-closing stop valve. Furthermore, the body is aluminum constructed and includes a shear section that complies with 49CFR178.345-8, tested per TTMA RP 84. The body, disc holder, and bonnet assembly come standard with a black epoxy coat for added corrosion protection. Furthermore, the valve is available in a flanged or grooved outlet, with available body configurations including straight, 90° elbow, or tee style. Universal lever arms with multiple mounting holes supply the valves for versatile cable attachment.
In this context, the Maximum Operating Pressure refers to the maximum tank pressure that the valve can open against when operated by a typical mechanical operator.

CAUTION: Proper installation and maintenance of the valve are necessary. Therefore, never bottom load through the emergency valve without first opening the valve. Failure to do so may result in damage to the tank and/or valve.
